Pizza Reading Awards

Dear Parent/Caregiver,

This term we will be introducing our Year 5/6 children to a reading promotion sponsored by Hell's Pizza, the major sponsors for the New Zealand Book Awards in 2017, whereby children can earn themselves a free 333 kid's pizza from Hell. Each child is required to read 8 books, answer a couple of simple questions on them. This will be monitored via the Library and it is up to the children to register themselves with us. Books should be at a level appropriate for their reading ability and new reads to them, not titles they already know.

There are a couple of pre-requisites surrounding using the wheels; when you want to collect the pizza your child needs to be present to redeem their pizza, the pizza cannot be picked up on their behalf AND only one pizza wheel can be redeemed per child at any one time - if they have two completed wheels they need to be used on separate occasions. The promotion finishes on 3rd December, so there is plenty of time for the reading to be done! PLEASE NOTE IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO MAKE ANY OTHER PURCHASE AT THE SAME TIME.

We hope that the children will be encouraged with their reading and enjoy the rewards! Some great titles were nominated this year, if you would like to take a look at the winners you can do that at: http://www.nzbookawards.nz/new-zealand-book-awards-for-children-and-young-adults/2017-awards/shortlist/

Kind regards,
