Rights and Responsibilities

This afternoon we talked about the rights and responsibilities that we have in our classroom and at home. We thought that as we grow these change.

In our classroom:

• Ms Saxon has the right to be listened to and the responsibility to make her students feel good about themselves.
• Miss Rait has the responsibility to give students feedback on their work and she has a right to give directions to students.
• Sofia has the responsibility to hand in her learning and a right to ask for help.
• Stella has a responsibility to make her classmates and friends safe.
• Liam has a right to be treated well and not be put down by others, it is also his responsibility to treat other people in his class in the same way.
• We have a right to be treated fairly and to have fun!
• We have the right to share our ideas.
• We have a right to have friends and a responsibility to welcome in new people.
• Sitara has a right to get help if she needs it.
• Jeremy has a responsibility to contribute.
• Joel has a right to be heard.
• Sophie has a responsibility to look after my classmates.
• Payo has a responsibility to treat others fairly.
• Jack has a responsibility to give others a chance to speak up.
• Amelie has a responsibility to listen.
• Juliette has a responsibility to have a go!
• Sam has a responsibility to clean up after himself.
• Hugh has a responsibility to learn.
• Evelyn has a responsibility to know right from wrong.
• Riley has a responsibility to look after his own gear.
